Observations of the changing sky provided some of the first evidence that the universe was not static and perfect. In the last decade this has been done systematically at optical wavelengths, discovering a panoply of interesting supernovae, gamma-ray bursts, and more. However, radio wavelengths have been ignored. Dr. Kapan will discuss how using the Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder Telescope to look for new and changing radio sources, gives new insight into some of the more extreme objects in the Universe.
