Free Telescope Workshops are Happening in PAS!!!
www.pasaz.org for more details about the class
Location PVCC Main campus
18401 N. 32nd Street Phoenix, AZ 85032
In room G-147
7:30pm to 9:30pm
RSVP is required: Events@pasaz.org
Email with the Make and Model of your telescope,
the date of the Telescope Class you wish to attend,
and the number in your party.
Bring with you your telescope and all it's accessories, something to write on and with to take notes.
There is NOTHING at the Telescope Workshops for you to purchase.
We offer advice from experience.
If you don't already have a telescope, then RSVP with:
* Number in your party
* Mention you are looking to purchase a telescope
We give advice on purchasing telescopes, with the hope that the scope you purchase will be something you will want to use very often and not just purchase and stick it in a closet.
We also can advise on how to pick eyepieces, places to purchase equipment and accessories, filters, finder's scopes, etc. We have the experience, and you can learn from it. It is advice, and it is free.
You can attend as many telescope workshops as you wish, so long as seating is available.
These classes fill up quickly, so get your return email to me with your RSVP.
The day before the workshop, i Hope to have time to send a reminder to those who RSVP
to attend.
Also, Weather cancels these events if it is rainy, or too windy. And the event is
cancelled if NO ONE RSVP's to attend as a student. If it is light clouds, we can still do the
event, but thick, heavy clouds, cancels the event as well, for the outdoor portion of the event.
We might be still able to talk about purchasing items, indoors. So, if you are bringing a scope
to get help with, and the weather is bad, check with me before you cancel attending to make sure there isn't anything we can do for you that night, besides help you with your scope outside.
Here are the dates of the this school season's (Sept 2022 to May 2023) Free Telescope Workshops with PAS:
Apr 13, 2023
Hope to see you there and please do not JUST show up. RSVP is required as I want to be sure there is a Telescope Teacher there who knows how to operate your model telescope.
Some telescopes are like a Honda Civic. Almost anyone can drive it, but some telescopes are like a Semi Truck. Can you hop into a Semi Truck and drive it safely without any prior experience? That's why we need your RSVP. I want to be sure we have a Semi Truck driver available for your particular make and model of telescope.
Have an Astronomical Day!
