Comments and anecdotes about the event:
There were three, 1/2 hour rotations of elementary school students grades K-6. We had three activities. The first was a set of scales that gives your weight on different planets and one asteroid. We used are planetary board game to teach the name of the planets in order from the sun as well as how to identify each by their relative size and appearance. And students could use a library telescope to view a picture of Pluto at the other side of the gym. (It was too cloudy to observe outside.)
