This special evening event will feature a conversation between physicist Kip Thorne and artist Lia Halloran focusing on their project “The Warped Side of Our Universe: An Odyssey Through Black Holes, Wormholes, Time Travel, and Gravitational Waves”. This engaging dialogue will blend Kip's scientific insights with Lia's artistic interpretations, using poetry and paintings to make complex astrophysical concepts more accessible. Their work delves into profound questions about the universe's origins and the nature of time and space.
We hope you’ll also take the opportunity to explore the Warped Side art exhibition, on view at the National Academy of Sciences building through June 1, 2025. For more information about the exhibit, click here for a short video, or click here for the CPNAS press release.
