Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Unusual cold and clear weather in the Pacific Northwest allowed this event to take place on a day when 6 planets were visible, and no moon. Incredible views from this Bortle 5 sky. Orion high in the eastern sky, Jupiter, Mars and Venus shining high, and Saturn in the horizon. Neptune as usual required binoculars. Members had several types of telescopes, with the majority being Dobsonians. Views of Jupiter, Flame Nebula, Mars, dazzled attendees from the Seattle Eastside.
