Event

Join us at the University of Washington, in front of the Physics and Astronomy building in the Mark McDermott Plaza, to see the eclipse on Monday, April 8th. From Seattle people will see a chunk of the sun taken out, similar to the bite in the Apple logo where it will slide across the side of the sun.
The eclipse begins at 10:39am, peak at 11:30, and ends at 12:25pm.
We will have eclipse glasses and telescopes to look through.
Fingers crossed that we have clear skies.

Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had over 100 people attend this event, along with several major media outlets with TV cameras. It was cloudy during the whole event and the eclipse was not visible. We had a NASA eclipse event streaming live on a big screen TV, and overall had a really nice event with a lot of great questions and interaction with the public.
