Event

A public starparty and everyone is welcome! Please wear closed toe shoes and layers; the event is free, and all ages are encouraged to come. If you have a telescope you want to use or learn to use, please bring it. We will have our personal telescopes and the Selman Living Laboratory site has 11" Intelliscopes you can learn to use and a 12" dome scope with a volunteer to find objects for you. Before dark there are activities using Night Sky Network Toolkits and an interactive presentation on Phases of the Moon. After dark, one volunteer presents constellations and myths and discusses how to find celestial objects as others find binary stars, colored stars, star nurseries, and more.
