At 5 PM, the Sun City Oro Valley will host for dinner Dr. Tom Zega, Manager of the Kuiper Material Imaging Lab at U of A, prior to his presentation about BENNU astroid samples.

Dr. Zega gave us some preview snippets of his presentation. His career and interest in geochemistry was ignited from his father, who was a chemist. At age 17, he was working in his father's lab already. An invited visitor, Twink Monrad, from the Oro Valley Historical Society also attended; she is in charge of the meteorite collection at Steam Pump Ranch, many from the Gold Field meteorite field in Arizona. She gave all attendees a free sample bit of a meteorite collected in the Sahara Desert.
