Comments and anecdotes about the event:
This was our monthly public stargazing event at Robinson Preserve. Saturn continues to amaze and indeed change people as they try to figure out just what the heck are they seeing in that eyepiece!!! The public event was held after our first ever club BBQ and picnic.
The crowd begins to arrive on 2/21/26 at the Robinson Preserve observing field. We had 17 telescopes and an estimated 125 guests throughout the evening. Photo by Ed McDonough.
Here's a group photo after our first ever BBQ. The group gathers around a deceased members CPC 11 telescope in a dedication photo to the member, Tim Raines. Tim donated the telescope to another club member and good friend, Scott Smith. Photo by Heidi Smith.
