St George Astronomy Group will be working in cooperation with Cedar Breaks National Monument who are hosting the Southwest Astronomy Festival. We have volunteered to help with a solar viewing event at Red Hills Desert Garden on this day. If you have a way to view the sun, by use of a white filter or dedicated solar telescope, please help with this event. Set up will be at the main pavilion area between 9:00-9:30 am. The public is invited between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
This is a great opportunity for SGAG to help teach the public about our nearest and most important star, and to promote our organization. Hope to see you there.
