Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The group was very large and varied in age from 5-16 years old. I conducted the presentation in a Q&A format, steering the conversation to topics related to the planets, the Moon, the Sun, and constellations. I used Powerpoint slides to show photos in support of our conversations to accommodate the large group format. All of children seemed to enjoy the presentation and stayed engaged for the full hour. After the program and an ice cream break, we observing the sun through a hydrogen alpha telescope. The children were impressed by the view since there were several large prominences and quite a bit of sunspot activity.
