Event

**All Events are Weather Permitting**

The public is invited to join members of the Salt Lake Astronomical Society for a night under the stars. The observatory's four large telescopes will be open to the public. SLAS members will have additional telescopes of all shapes and sizes available as well. Feel free to ask the telescope operator if you can look through their scope and what they are looking at.
Come see distant galaxies that are millions of light years away. See nebula, star clusters, and more.

This event is family friendly (ages 3 to 99). Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Please, no pets. Some tend to leave little surprises in the grass and we don't like stepping in it in the dark.

Star Party Tips:
* Keep cell phones, lights, or other bright devices turned off. This helps preserve night vision.
* Follow all safety signs and telescope operator instructions.
* This is an outdoor activity. Dress appropriately (warmer than you think you might need- it can be chilly) and wear mosquito repellent (please apply it away from telescopes).
