Event

We are interested in having a Star Party and educational event. We are hoping your representatives will educate our elementary students regarding the upcoming eclipse on April 8th. Any hands on activities would be greatly appreciated, including use of telescopes, etc. We would provide a negotiable donation to the society in exchange for this educational opportunity!  day!
A talk about the upcoming near-total eclipse and stargazing in general will be followed by telescope viewing of the Moon, Jupiter & other objects, weather permitting.  Should skies be cloudy, a decision will be made in the afternoon to move to the cloud date.

Date: Friday, March 15, 2024

Time: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Central

Information for Visitors
Instructions for the Public:
Talk about the upcoming eclipse & stargazing in general.  After about 45-60 minutes, we'll move outside and view the Moon, Jupiter and hopefully other objects with the telescopes.  If the sky is cloudy, a decision will be made to move to the alternate date of March 22nd.  Should that date be cloudy also, the program will still be held, all indoors.
