Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Weather forecast called for clearing skies, but the sky remained overcast during our event. We had five volunteers with telescopes waiting patiently for the sky to clear, along with about 20 visitors. At 9pm we packed up our equipment and headed out. We have a good track record of calling events based on the forecast, but this one was a rare cloud-out despite the generally good forecast. Volunteers spent time together discussing equipment and Dennis' SeeStar telescope. Mild temperatures made this a pleasant evening to be outside, despite the overcast sky.
