Event

Come explore the night sky at the park. The evening will kick off at the visitor center with a one-hour program called “The Fall Skies.” After the program, members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society will set up telescopes in the monument field to offer visitors a view of the night sky. Telescopes will be pointed at a variety of objects, including the Jupiter and its moons, Staurn and its rings, and the many star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and binoculars.

Instructions for the Public:
Members of the St Louis Astronomical Society will provide telescope viewing at the monument ar,ea in Babler State Park, on October 27, 2018
Telescopes will be pointed at the 1 day past full moon, Saturn and Mars
Star clusters, nebula and galaxies will be viewed in the Andromeda, Cygnus, and the Summer Triangle
People are encouraged to brings chairs, blankets and binoculars to view the sky.
