Two members of Thames Amateur Astronomical Society will be at the Groton CT Public Library on Monday, April 8, for those wishing to view the partial eclipse. Groton is not in the path of totality, so you will not ve viewing the total eclpse of the sun. However, one club member will be manning the TAAS solar scope and another member will have a Stellina telescope present that will be taking astrophotography images of the event. Club members will also provide information about what is happening during the eclipse. The library has 2000 eclipse glasses to distribute so all attendees will have glasses to safely view the eclipse.
