The Friends of Hammonassett invite the officers of Thames Amateur Astronomical Society (TAAS) and Astronomical Society of New Haven (ASNH) to be their honorees at the Annual Meeting of the Friends of Hammonassett in recognition of their support for the Family Astronomy Nights presented at Miegs Point Nature Center at Hammonassett State Park. The events regularly attract 200 plus attendees and are very well-received. When the events were first started they might have had 2 or 3 telescopes. Now there are usually at least 20 telescopes and EAA systems.
