Event

We are losing our beautiful night sky, but we can help change that! Try starting in your backyard! Join us as we share tips and tricks for becoming a stellar backyard astronomer and fantastic Citizen Scientist!

Our presentation, led by Kim, will be in the planetarium regardless of the weather!

If the weather cooperates, Tacoma Astronomical Society volunteers will have their telescopes in the parking lot after the presentation. Otherwise, we will stay inside the fantastic Pierce College planetarium for an inside "What's up in the Sky Tonight" activity.

Free Tickets - are recommended for entry: https://tas.ludus.com/
but not required. Those with tickets are seated first.

COVID information: https://www.pierce.ctc.edu/coming-to-campus

There is no charge for public programs or for observing. However, donations are gladly accepted and used to further public education and outreach programs.

The Tacoma Astronomical Society hosts free monthly public viewing sessions at Pierce College near Fort Steilacoom. Indoor lectures, demonstrations, and workshops are available at public nights regardless of the weather. Each season boasts something new and exciting for our frequent guests.
