Saturday, February 18, we plan to have a covered-dish cookout at Cypress Landing and Astronomical Park, followed by an observing session . Overnight camping is allowed at the park (this allows you to stargaze later, without having to tear down your rig and drive home late). Doing an overnighter is strictly optional. If you do stay overnight until the next morning, sunrise at the lake is spectacular.
Please RSVP me (dan@tallystargazers.org) if you are planning to come, so I can coordinate on the food. I think people should bring their own beverage… just bring some food for yourself and others. I will provide cheeseburgers/dogs with buns and condiments, and cook them up.
People can arrive to set up their gear around 4:00 PM, and we can eat around 5:30 PM.
As always, it is totally dependent on the weather.
Clear skies!!!
