October 13 is the start of National Wildlife Refuge Week and the St Marks National Wildlife Refuge is offering public stargazing at the St Mark Lighthouse, co-hosted by the Tallahassee Astronomical Society. Set up will start at 7.  The event will be open to the public.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Set up all our scopes along side an alligator pond at the wildlife refuge, but we were unmolested. Very full crowd with a range of people to see the comet. Looked at the moon and sunspots while waiting for comet.
