We are forming a Dark-Sky group in the Bolivar-Harpers Ferry area. Our next meeting is going to be a planning session for possible events to engage the public. In the past, like efforts have partnered with your group for a star party and we would like to do so again in the near future. As we are planning, we wanted to inquire about what your group would need from us in order to have such a party. While we have a few spots that might work out, we wanted to gain a better understanding of the space size and clearances you would need.
We are also looking for presenters who would like to speak publicly at our local library on topics pertaining to the night sky. Many of us are passionate and enthusiastic, but we have little understanding to truly appreciate the intricacies of telescopes and star gazing.
