This is a K-5 school. It is hosting a STEM event on May 1st, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm. The event will be both inside and outside. The school wants the WVAC to staff a table where we will talk about how telescopes work and to have a few telescopes available to view the moon. Note that sunset is 7:13 pm and the moon rises at 8:49 am and sets after midnight. It is a 20% disk. Jupiter will be visible until about 10:18 pm but the sky will probably be too bright to see it during the event.
