New Yorkers Discover the Moon
The Amateur Observers Society of New York (AOSNY) uses Night Sky Network
materials to show youngsters the phases of the Moon.

AOSNY reports, "We held two workshops on Astronomy Day, one of which was a hands-on exploration of what causes phases of the Moon and eclipses. The waning crescent Moon was up in the clear blue sky, making it easy to do the activity."
