Jo  Sutter of the Fort Bend Astronomy Club reported in on how their club's outreach efforts use their James Webb Space Telescope model at local outreach events:

"We here at Fort Bend Astronomy Club (FBAC) want to thank the Night Sky Network for providing the James Webb Space Telescope kit.  As you can see, the model is now fully assembled and being put to good use during FBAC’s club meetings and Astronomy On Wheels events. It is a great tool for educating school-aged children, teachers, and parents about the telescope's status and upcoming deployment.  FBAC certainly appreciates Night Sky Network's efforts in providing tools such as this for our club's outreach events. They are an integral part of our program and greatly enhance our educational suite!"

The Astronomy on Wheels astronomy outreach program from the Fort Bend Astronomy Club (FBAC) was the first organized astronomy education outreach program in the greater Houston, Texas, area, and a winner of a scale model of the James Webb Space Telescope, one of the quarterly prizes given out by the Night Sky Network (NSN) program.

Quarterly prizes are one example of the rewards and resources given to astronomy clubs who post and log their outreach events to the NSN calendar in an ongoing effort to help NASA bring its discoveries and science to the public and measure the impact of its outreach efforts across the USA. The NSN exists to help astronomy clubs bring the wonders of the universe to the public!
