The TAA is hosting a Public Star Party on May 3rd. The night will begin with a short program on the night sky at 8:00 pm. Visitors will then view the night's targets through our members telescopes and through our 12 inch domed scope. This event is dependent on the weather so check this TAA group for a GO , No Go message by noon on the 3rd.

TAA Arthur Pursell Observatory (APO)

The Arthur Pursell Observatory

The Tulare Astronomical Association owns it’s own observatory. The observatory was built in 1967 on donated property. It is located 7 miles southwest of the city of Tulare at 9242 Avenue 184 Tulare, CA 93274. All materials and labor were also donated by members of the community. The observatory has a 12′ 6″ motorized Ash Dome. The dome was donated by the Tulare Lions Club.
