The Franklin Township Astronomy Club is committed to engaging and educating astronomy enthusiasts in our community. Founded in 2018, we have grown to include members of all ages and experience levels from Franklin Township, NJ (Somerset County), and the surrounding area.

We are committed to sharing our interest in astronomy through various club member and public events such as:

• Monthly Club Meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Franklin Township Community/Senior Center, 505 DeMott Lane, Somerset (7:30 pm- 9:00 pm).
• Open access to club members to one of the darkest sites in Franklin Township
• Community outreach activities

We also work with school, youth, and senior groups to bring the wonders of the night sky to those communities, and we work actively to promote awareness and advocacy for preserving dark skies as a vital natural resource.

Visit us on our website or on our Facebook page for more information on how to become involved!
