The Tulare Astronomical Association's monthly "Members Only" Star Party on February 14, 2026 (weather permitting) from 5-10 PM at the Arthur Pursell Observatory (APO). Allows old & new members alike to meet, catch-up, show-off new equipment, swap stories, and share their love of Astronomy together.

There is a restroom at our facility. Dress appropriate for the weather, bring water and a chair if you want to sit.

TAA Arthur Pursell Observatory (APO)

The Arthur Pursell Observatory

The Tulare Astronomical Association owns it’s own observatory. The observatory was built in 1967 on donated property. It is located 7 miles southwest of the city of Tulare at 9242 Avenue 184 Tulare, CA 93274. All materials and labor were also donated by members of the community. The observatory has a 12′ 6″ motorized Ash Dome. The dome was donated by the Tulare Lions Club.
