Event

Join Colorado Springs Astronomical Society (CSASTRO) at Cheyenne Mountain State Park for a Planet Party!

Our CSASTRO member volunteers will be setting up their binoculars, telescopes and other observing equipment for views of Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and some of the other celestial sights we’ll be able to see in the February skies. This event is open to all and for our part is free though a state park pass is required if you don’t already have one included as part of Colorado vehicle registration.

We’ve scheduled these in the Winter months specifically so our younger aspiring astronomers that have early bedtimes are able to attend and see these spectacular sights through our telescopes!

We’ll be set up in the far eastern end of the Limekiln Trailhead parking lot. Thanks to Cheyenne Mountain State Park for supporting these special programs within our community.
