Liftoff and the initial maneuvers last approximately 30 to 45 minutes following ignition, but the broadcast will continue until the deployment of the Orion capsule's solar panels.

Join us at the CSN Planetarium (Cheyenne Campus) for a community Watch Party as NASA prepares to launch Artemis II, the first crewed mission of the Artemis program and humanity’s next step toward returning to the Moon.

Event Schedule (Pacific Time):
2:30 p.m. – Doors open to the public
3:00 p.m. – Welcome and introduction to the Artemis II mission
3:00–3:20 p.m. – NASA’s live coverage begins on screen

Post‑launch (20–30 min) – Live commentary, mission updates, and community discussion

NASA will begin internal tanking operations early in the morning, and the main NASA+ / YouTube broadcast starts at 9:50 a.m., but our public event begins in the afternoon so everyone can enjoy the most exciting moments together.

Come experience the thrill of launch day, learn about the crew, and celebrate this historic mission with fellow space enthusiasts.
