This is NASA's Observe the Moon Night, so we will use this as a theme for observing on the field.

  • Observing the moon!
  • How to find start charts online and how to read them 
  • Recommended resources/guides- starchars/starhop, messier, peach state stargaze 
  • How to pick a good time and place for astronomy 
  • How to find easily identifiable astronomical objects (planets, common constellations/asterisms) 
    • Club recommended: 
      • Helix nebula 
      • Saturn 
      • Ptolemy cluster 
      • M22 
      • Milky way
