Emma will discuss the Smithsonian STARS program which connects classrooms to the cosmos through a new nationwide educational initiative led by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. STARS partners with rural educators to expand access to astronomy education by equipping schools with telescopes, standards-aligned lesson plans and educator training.
