Event

Please join us for a solar eclipse watch party on Monday, April 8th from 10:30 to noon at the Paul Morgan Observatory on the UCC Campus. Roseburg will have a 25% partial eclipse and PMO will use its H-alpha and conventional telescopes for viewing. There will be video feeds from NASA to show the total eclipse as it happens in other parts of the country too. Some members will be on hand to share their telescopes with solar filters. The forecast looks promising so please join us if you can.

Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The day started cloudy but the clouds cleared right at the peak of the eclipse in Roseburg. Roseburg had a 25% eclipse but people still seemed to enjoy it. Lots of questions from all of the guests. Local newspaper reporter interviewed quite a few people.
