Event

We will be at the Jefferson College Observatory Tuesday Sep 17th, 2024 for the Partial Lunar Eclipse. The eclipse begins at 9:14pm (alt-23 degrees). Mid-eclipse will be at 9:45pm and the eclipse will end at 10:16pm (alt=33 degrees). This is NOT a must-see event, less then 10% of the Moon will be in the Earth's shadow.

We will have the Observatory open for this event. We will also be looking a Saturn.

People are encouraged to bring binoclars, chairs and/or blankets to watch the eclipse.

The next Total Lunar Eclipse visible from St Louis will be on the morning of March 14, 2025
