The Taurid meteor shower is expected to peak between midnight and dawn on November 5-6. The first quarter Moon sets after midnight, and you may be able to see 5-10 meteors per hour, provided you have dark skies and clear conditions.
Thi shower appears to radiate from the near Taurus, but will be visible across the entire night sky.
If you want to try to spot some meteors, remember to bundle up, as it is getting late in the year! Get to a dark spot, get comfortable, bring extra blankets to stay warm, and let your eyes adjust to the dark sky. A cozy lounge chair makes for a great seat, as does simply lying on your back on a blanket, eyes scanning the whole sky.
