Crash of the Asteroids... where did the dinosaurs go? How an asteroid ended the age of the dinosaurs? Let's look into the past when an asteroid impact triggered global wildfires, tsunamis, and years-long winter from debris blocking the sun.
This is the asteroid Vesta. It is the second largest asteroid in our solar system orbiting between Jupiter and Mars in the asteroid belt. Vesta is about 326 miles in diameter, comparable to the size of Arizona. It was visited by the Dawn Mission probe in July 2011.
