Asteroid Day at the Library in Topeka. Governor Laura Kelly will issue an official Proclamation, declaring June 30 Asteroid Day for the state of Kansas! Join us at the Topeka Public Library for Asteroid Day festivities, including asteroid displays, a telescope from Far Point Observatory, space rocks, hands-on activities, videos, and a live talk! All ages welcome!

This is asteroid 101955 Bennu and slightly taller than the Empire State Building. Space mission OSIRIS REx visited Bennu and brought back a sample to Earth.
