Title: ASLI Literature (Book, Short Stories, Poems,.. etc) Review
Event Info:
Please join us for a unique and engaging club event: our first-ever (and revived) Astronomy & Physics Literature Review Night!
Calling all bookworms, poetry lovers, and fans of great storytelling! This evening is dedicated to exploring the universe through literature. We invite YOU, our members, to present a short (5-10 minute) talk on a favorite book, short story, poem, or even a play that meaningfully connects to astronomy, physics, or space exploration.
What could you share?
-
A science fiction novel with accurate orbital mechanics.
-
A poem that uses the stars as a powerful metaphor.
-
A historical account of a great discovery.
-
A "physics of the impossible" analysis from a fantasy story.
-
A children's book that beautifully explains the cosmos.
-
And anything in between!
This is a low-pressure, high-fun event to share passions and discover new ways to see our hobby. Whether you want to present or just come to listen and be inspired, all are welcome. Shannon Sha will be our host, guiding the evening and ensuring a great time for all.
To Present: Please email Dan and Shannon at danandshannon.sha@gmail.com with your name and the literary work you'd like to discuss by May 13th 2026.
