Looking for ASTRA volunteers and coordination with the Ocean  County College to reduce the light pollution for observing.

Members of the Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area (ASTRA) will setup their telescopes and share the views of the planets and stars. We will explore the constellations and other celestial objects of the Season! We look forward to seeing you. This is a FREE event and dependent on the weather so check back for any cancellations.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Observed Jupiter, Saturn, M57 Ring Nebula, M13 Globular Cluster, M27 Dumbell Nebula. We also had assistance from local Boy Scout Troop 50 member Zackary, working on his merit badge and was a big help. Interacting with the public and tracking headcount for us.
