Event

May 16th looks fantastic, and is available.  The Moon is new and will not adversely affect stargazing as it sometimes does.

We will be happy to attend your stargazing.  I suspect there will be one or two more telescopes, there.  Jeff G will bring a smart telescope, that shoots photos, and I’ll be happy to send you all photos that I took that evening immediately after the event.

I have several constellation stories (mythology) that I can share with your scouts, and several others in our group know more stories, too.  Most of us have laser pointers, so it will be very easy to point out these constellations.

Jupiter sets at 10:00 PM, so I believe it should be visible for us at 9:00 PM.  Depending on the western view and the tree heights, we may view Venus and Saturn, just as the sun sets, too!

Sunset is at 8:11 PM, so I suggest starting around 8:30 PM and running until at least 10:00 PM.  We can stay until 10:30 PM if you schedule us for the full two hours.
