On August 27th at 8:00 pm, please join our volunteer BNA astronomers as we watch a partial Lunar Eclipse.
-
- 8:30 pm 11:15 pm – the Moon will slowly darken as it is 96% covered by the Earth’s shadow.
- 11:15 pm – 3:34 am – the Moon will slowly brighten as it passes behind the Earth then begins to come out of the shadow finishing at 2:00 am.
We will have experts here with telescopes and binoculars so you can see and learn about the eclipse! Come prepared for a fun and interesting event that we don’t get to see very often. More information on the eclipse: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2026-august-28
