Cancelled due to weather Particularly Dangerous Situation
Join volunteers from the Central Arkansas Astromomical Society and look through the library telescopes! If the sky conditions allow we'll look at the crescent moon, otherwise we will look at objects on the hillside or interesting objects in the area.
This afternoon event will be busy just after school lets out, but if you have questions stick around because we are here to show how to use the telescope and let you try it yourself. It can open up a whole new world for you!
A library telescope can be checked out just like a book. These easy to use tabletop instruments are especially good for lunar viewing. This year, the first week of April has favorable moon phases for observing. The moon is not overly bright and shows good detail at the terminator, or the line between day and night.
We look forward to seeing you!
