The Amateur Astronomers Association hosts free, public observing sessions at Great Kills Park in Great Kills, Staten Island, NY. Canceled if cloudy. Telescopes will be provided. Dress warm when cold. Be aware of mosquitoes during the summer.

The entrance to the park is located at 3270 Hylan Blvd; however, we meet at the south end of the parking lot along Buffalo Street, just before you reach Great Kills Harbor.

DIRECTIONS: Enter the park at Hylan Blvd. and Buffalo St., proceed approximately. 0.95 miles to a large parking lot on the left. The observing site is in the south-east corner near a small playground. Be aware that the speed limit is 25 MPH! Watch for deer. If taking Public Transportation, there is a paved path parallel to the roadway. There are no streetlights.
