Explore solar and geodetic science with an afternoon program at the Latitude Observatory. We will be joined by science and engineering agencies and organizations to help us explore America as a nation built on science. (This is an America 250th event)

Skywatching programs are held in Observatory Park, home to the historic International Latitude Observatory. Programs are free, but registration is required. Observatory Park is at 100 DeSellum Avenue. Parking is in the St. Martin’s field at Route 355 and DeSellum, two blocks from Observatory Park.

This site is managed by the Gaithersburg Community Museum. The park is open daily with informational signage. The Observatory building is open during events.
