Celebrate America's independence at SummerFest, Gaithersburg's illuminating summer festival on the expansive grounds of Bohrer Park at Summer Hall Farm. The family-friendly event features live music, food and fun activities, all leading up to a spectacular fireworks display and SummerGlo After Party.

Gaithersburg Museum and Latitude Observatory will be participating with hands-on activities and exhibits. Visitors will also have a chance to attend a planetarium show.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The Moon Phases Matching Game was very popular with all ages, but we found that parents really enjoyed doing it with their young children. It is difficult to pull out the demographics from this event.
