This is one of two star parties held on this date. This one is held at Geiger Community Park. The other star party is at Kahala Community Park. Generally this is held near the first quarter moon so if you want to view the moon, this is the place to visit.

Instructions for the Public:
If you bring a flashlight, it must be covered with red cellophane or red filter. No white flashlights since it ruins your night vision which takes 15-30 minutes to recover from bright lights. No running or eating around telescopes. Do not touch telescope since it may move off the target being viewed.
