Don Adams has secured the active participation of the park staff to organize a monthly star party and talks near first quarter moon.  With several members' telescopes and announcements from the park attendance is growing.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The event tonight started out with a presentation about the Crab Nebula and how to find it in the night sky. Also covered were globular and open clusters. the presentation was followed by a hands on activity where participants created a star projector that projects the stars of the crab nebula on a wall using a toilet paper roller and a flashlight.
