Sponsored at the John Paul Landing County Park by the Harris County Parks Dept and the Houston Astronomical Society, a short program is presented inside the JPL Education Center followed immediately by a viewing session through telescopes located behind the building.  Programs are selected for each month based on relevant astronomical events and are designed to be of interest to children and adults.  The programs usually contain a short hands-on project designed for the enjoyment of all.  A variety of types and sizes of telescopes are located in the viewing area staffed by memnbers of the Houston Astronomical Society and the Harris County Park Department.
