Join Lima Astronomical Society members at Schoonover Observatory to view the wonders of the night sky through the observatory telescope in the dome. No experience is required! We welcome observers of all levels. We also spend time on the upper deck learning about constellations, pointing out planets, and watching for satellites! Having trouble with your own telescope? Bring it with you so we can give you a hand! This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the Society.
Uranus is at opposition tonight, and Saturn's rings are nearly invisible as they appear on-edge from our point of view on Earth. There may be a chance to catch some meteors from the Leonid shower that peaks earlier in the week.
Astronomical observing is dependent on the sky conditions. Current sky and moon forecasts are always available at: limaastro.com/weather
