The annual Lima Astro members picnic!!!  We will be requesting RSVPs for this event so the club knows how much food to purchase ahead of time.

Bring your family!  Socialize, talk shop, introduce your family to other members, and eat some great food!  This event is a carry-in.  Bring your favorite side-dish or dessert and join us in feasting, talking astronomy, and maybe even do some daytime solar observing.

Traditionally, Lima Astro provides:

• Burgers, saugages, and hot dogs (and a grill to cook on)
• Beverages
• Plates, flatware, and napkins.

Schoonover Park shelter house right next to Schoonover Observatory.

We recommend taking the south road to the shelter house and parking in the grass.  Parking at the observatory is OK, but be prepared to walk down a slight hill as the observatory is on higher ground.  The shelter house is approximately 250-feet from the observatory front walkway.
