This is a star party for the astronomy students (Dual Enrollment and regular HS Astronomy) classes at Deer Valley High School in Antioch, CA. Attendance is difficult to predict but will probably run around 30 students.  Some parents and younger siblings might attend; some of the LMC college students might attend.

We are requesting 3-4 members with telescopes. The football stadium and parking lot lights should be off, but there is a significant chance that won't happen in a timely fashion.

The event will be behind the school in the athletic field adjacent to the baseball field behind the school. Drive around the school and enter the back lot where the solar panels are and go all the way across to the west end of campus.  Jeff Adkins has the exact information about the location. No power is available but a concrete pad will be used for setup.

I am submitting the event for Monday November 9, but we have Wednesday Dec. 2 and Thursday Dec. 3 available as back-up dates in case of bad weather. If we need to cancel due to weather or other circumstances Jeff Adkins is the primary point of contact.
